Exciting news this week as Marriott Vacation Club announced the finalization of the purchase of the Marriott Surfers Paradise Resort & Spa on the gold coast of Australia.
Taking over this iconic resort and adding it to its timeshare portfolio is evidence of the company’s expansion plans into the Asia pacific region and giving its portfolio a more global reach.
The CEO of Marriott Vacations worldwide Stephen P. Weisz said the purchase was in response to customer demand when he stated
“Our Owners and guests have long shared with us how Australia is one of their top destinations that they want to experience on vacation, and we listened,” “For decades the legendary Surfers Paradise Marriott has provided unforgettable vacation memories for Australian families and families from around the world. We are truly excited to add this amazing destination to our portfolio and to welcome Owners and guests to this striking property where they will be surrounded by the beauty and hospitality of Australia.”
