The onsite restaurant Solera, is a vibrant dining experience, with live entertainment and Al Fresco dining in the warmer months. The food is of an excellent quality and allows you to enjoy a night out, without having to worry about the journey home. If you want to explore a variety of international cuisines nearby the resort, the traditional, whitewashed village of Benahavis has everything a foodie could wish for- from authentic Spanish tapas to a delicious roast shoulder of Lamb. The Guandong chinese restaurant is walking distance from the Playa Andaluza, located in the quaint Diana commercial centre. For a fabulous lunch in the sun, we recommend the lunch menu at Cocomos, which offers international dishes at local prices!

Golf

The Costa del Sol is aptly named the Costa del Golf, due to the amount of world class courses in the area. The Atalaya Golf course is less than three kilometres away from the Marriott’s Playa Andaluza and makes for an excellent day out on the golf course. If you are a more skilled golfer, then the courses of Los Naranjos and Las Brisas give you the opportunity to play a more challenging, yet extremely rewarding round of golf.

Climate

The Costa del Sol has a micro climate offering warm days and sunshine year round. Whilst the summer months reach highs of 36 degrees celcius, the cooler Autumn months of October and November, are just the right temperature to lie by the pool, without the risk of sunburn. The coldest months are considered to be January and February, where a light jacket is needed but the sunshine is still bright!
