Marriott’s Marbella Beach Resort have recently announced they have begun renovating and modernising the resort, which is located in one of the most prestigious locations of the Costa del Sol, Spain.
All of the apartments will be refurbished, to give them a fresh new look. The works commenced in November 2014, with an attention to detail such as new, modern furniture, lighting and soft furnishings. The planning began approximately 18 months ago, with Marriott’s interior designer and renovation team in Orlando heading up the project. Great care has gone into choosing the correct “resort-proof” fabrics based on Marriott brand standards, matching colours with a contemporary look, and finally combining the new design with Marriott’s existing furniture and design.
The first apartments have already been completed and have received rave reviews from the owners of those units. Aside from the new furniture in each apartment, owners will be delighted to hear that the apartment interiors have been painted in a lighter colour, contributing to the sunny and bright feel of Marriott’s Marbella Beach Resort. Those guests who are in need of some well deserved rest and relaxation will benefit from the newly introduced “grand” pillows on the bed.
In January, Marriott’s design team have begun installing the new large flat screen 43” televisions in the living room, along with remodelling the armoires to make the installation of the larger televisions possible. The new, smart televisions come with the option for guests to receive instant messages, see the upcoming weather forecast for their stay or a copy of their current bill on your screen. In addition to this, Marriott demonstrate their regard for guests’ safety, by replacing the entire smoke detection system for the apartments and common areas in the resort. New wiring throughout the resort and state-of-the-art smoke detectors will be put in place to ensure the safety of all resort residents.
The renovation of all 288 apartments is scheduled for completion by mid-March 2016, allowing you to enjoy the updated accommodations during your summer holiday.
