Heading away with the family this year? Anyone who has been on holiday with children of any age, knows that in order for you to get a relaxing break, the children have to be entertained.

Costa del Sol attracts millions of tourists annually, thanks to its sunny weather, accessible beaches and excellent family attractions. Costa del Sol is perfect for families with children of all ages – there simply is something for everyone. Yes, the area has several natural attractions (beaches, beaches, endless beaches), but the real kicker is the plethora of man-made exciting kids’ activities in Costa del Sol. From water parks, fairs and theme parks to zoos, wildlife and marine life – what more could a kid want, whether toddler or teen?

Water Parks: There are a few water parks that have proven to be extremely popular, especially from April until late October. Aqualand Torremolinos is a top Costa del Sol tourist attraction, providing a great day of entertainment for the whole family. This is the largest water park in Costa del Sol, and one of the largest in Europe, with 70,000 square meters of slides, pools, rides and Jacuzzis. Get ready to enter a world of water and fun with slides for both adults and kids. Although the entrance fee might seem quite steep (€17.50 to €23.00 per ticket), it is well worth the money, given how much you can do there. Food is rather pricey, so it is best to take your own. Also, there is a fee to rent rubber rings used on some rides, but you can also wait in line for free ones. Things to look out for are the Mini Park for kids, the Kamikaze and Black Hole for adults, the Surf Beach and Rapids, 18-hole mini golf and the latest addition – the Boomerang.

Wildlife: There are endless Costa del Sol tourist attractions with opportunities to watch animals, from zoos to adventure parks. Bioparc Fuengirola is a must visit tourist spot, although it is a bit pricey (€12.50 to €17.90 per ticket). Selwo Aventura is a top animal, nature and adventure park to visit. Located in Estepona, it has more than 2000 animals from all over the world such as elephants, tigers, giraffes, lions and many more. Those that are interested in crocodiles will be thrilled with what Cocodrilos Park in Torremolinos has to offer – with more than 300 crocs, a nursery for baby crocodiles and eight lakes.

Marine Life:  Sea Life Benalmádena has the widest range of sea life on the Costa del Sol, including octopus, sharks, seahorses, turtles and so on. Ticket prices range from €11.95 to €18.95. Another option for kids’ activities in Costa del Sol is Selwo Marina, which is also located in Benalmádena. This is a lovely marine life park which features marine mammals and birds of South America, live dolphin shows, sea lions, penguins and more.
